Message and yes, the paint will chip. If this were a weekend car, I'd say settle for paint, but since this is a DD, I would go for the powdercoat. Since you got the TE37s for such a good price, I think you can justify spending the money to them powdercoated. I've had good luck with DIY painted wheels, but it's no where near the durability of a powdercoat finish.
